Gorgeous shots Pius. By far the best shots I have seen posted with the R5. Not even close to anyone else with beautiful feather details and perfect texture. Very happy for you that you got such impressive shots of this tiny owl and also for the new purchase which should be a fantastic tool in your hands.
may be the first time I see such texture rendering of feather with R5 even with 1.4x , zooming in flickr show the capability of crop keeping really good IQ (and perhaps leaving more often the 2x in the bag) .
don't be surprised if canon sends you an r6 for advertising
