Thanks so much for viewing and commenting
Seems B&W is not a medium as popular as color
I find that some images are more powerful in B&W
Quite true "KD"!! I dismissed B/W long ago only to realize than it is more difficult than processing color. And can present a more powerful subject than color. Tonality is forgiving in color a bit..BUT B/W Tonality is the key! You excelled here my friend!!

These are beautiful KD, I really like them. I converted a couple of shots to B&W from an Africa and made big prints. Your conversions are great. I love the tigers.

thanks so much Dave. Prints of big 5 are so much more powerful in B&W, I think.
The B and W versions are gorgeous. There is something in monchrome and you have done wonderful. Just because I am a radiologist, monochrome is my life.
BTW, wondering about the zebra picture. What color were the animals?

When I approach a B&W conversion, the first thing I do is look at each channel separately to see the richness of each. Then I use the most of the richest channel in my mix.

good to know Morris. Will get back to you to get more help.
Simply stunning series. I think these are extremely powerful as b&w images. I'm sure they'd be beautiful in color, but as b&w we really see the animals without being swayed by color.
