Oh God ... did they kill ET? . Great sets, Joshua. I particularly like #4 of the 1st set because of the chick's expression! YEMV ... You've Earned My Vote!
Thank you very much, Bobby! Haha, apparently mom brought back some half-eaten birds for the chick. The one mid-air transfer sequence that I didn’t post because it was simply too far out over the ocean was that of a full bird that just got killed. Even a 1,200mm effective FL wouldn’t get any presentable images, Oh, well, there is always the next season.

OMG, these are a delight to see, Joshua! Great job on getting these photos of a mid-air food transfer. I have to admire those falcon parents, such dedication to those chicks from egg to fledgling and beyond. YGMV.

Shirley, thank you very much! These falcons are indeed dedicated parents. I enjoyed the experience from start to finish tremendously. It is ironic but without the lockdown due to the pandemic that reduced the travel time to the site by half, I would have not been able to go there that frequently to witness the development fairly closely.

Wow--what tremendous, impactful captures, Joshua! The action, expressions and eye-contact make these super-dramatic and insightful. Spot-on exposures and plenty of detail adds to the story.
Fabulous set, especially considering what effort you put into getting them. Your tenacity paid off--big time!

well done Joshua, a stunning set of images...the carcass in the first sequence looks like something someone may hang on their door on halloween
Thank you very much, Brian! Yes, most of the time the parents eat a part of the prey first before enticing their chicks to catch the food. I captured another food transfer action using a whole bird but too bad it took place like a mile away. The resulting images are too small... . I didn’t delete them though, at least not yet.

You are a patient man, Joshua, and persistent, too. And you have been handsomely rewarded for both with a stunning pair of image sequences. I will have to hope that I'm still working from home next spring and that the peregrines in my neighborhood are still in the same nesting location.

Absolutely top notch.

Thank you very much, Gero! A word of warning for you though, you may get hooked the way I did get hooked ... but it was rewarding.
