Fantastic image in gorgeous color and composition that maximize its beauty
Thanks, this was not the composition I was originally intending, but once the light hit just right, it was an easy choice on this one.

Beautiful composition. Love the twisting ditch that leads right to the tree. The tones in the image excel.
Exactly what drop me to this composition, I'm just glad I nailed focus as several were out of focus after readjusting

Thanks for the comment.
Here is a 6-photo, vertical pano I took of the same location about 10 minutes before the shot above to give the viewer a wider perspective of this same location. I really like the pond in the lower corner, but the hill side kept cutting into the photo no matter what I tried for the composition. At the end I just kept the hill as part of the overall composition in the vertical pano.
After looking at the first image above, I was going to tell you how much I liked it and then suggest that the location practically screams out for a multi-image stitched panorama. I scrolled down and saw that you actually did that too. This is the kind of location where I would be sure to do that -- capture as much as possible with multiple images and stitch them together later. Once I have the full stitched image assembled, I like to look for cropped compositions that appeal to me.
Of course, I also like to find compositions on site and capture them in a single frame, if possible. But I think both techniques are valid.
The location also seems like a good candidate to explore with an infrared camera.
