I'm still pretty much a novice at these night shots - hard to practice when you need both a clear night sky and no moon!

Also, the downsizing for Flickr seems to introduce some colored artifacts in the lower part of the sky that aren't in my original - oh well
BTW - Jupiter is the bright star over the house with Saturn off to the lower left. I think the glow is from Missoula, 50 miles away

I like it a lot. Often what makes or breaks wide-field night sky shots are the parts that aren't actually the night sky, as in this shot.
