My balance is $0.00 and I never went over 30 days, so, it has nothing to do with credit, unless the issuing bank is anticipating an increase in bankruptcies.
It provides special financing. $500-$999 6 months interest free, if paid in full. $1000+ 12 months interest free, if paid in full. It is not the same bank as B&H cards, as both of those (tax free or special financing) are synchrony, while the Adorama card is comenity.

The credit card program between Adorama and Comenity Capital Bank will no longer be available after May 31. However, we are looking forward to bringing alternative payment options very soon.

I stopped shopping with Adorama when they parted ways with Helen Oster.
A new law came on March 1st which enables States to require retailers to 'collect' tax on their behalf. So the percentage tax you will pay is the one charged by the State to which your goods are shipped - presumably your home address. Of this cause I changed my credit card and now I have a Blaze Mastercard, it is one of the best with a lot of benefits.
