I love Yosemite, and this is a great image. Patience paid off!
My last set of images at/near this spot were ruined by my use of a lens that I didn't realize had become badly decentered, possibly due to being knocked, though I don't remember any particular incident that could have caused it. The softness over the left side of the frame was not noticeable when I reviewed a few images on the rear LCD, but 3000 miles away at home on my screen it was obvious.

Ah man, that sucks! I hate that. Back in 2006, I was relatively new to my fancy camera when I went to Ireland on vacation and found that I did all my shots in sRAW instead of RAW...

I was living close to Yosemite NP for well over ten years. I was living this scene numerous times. This picture you caught is so real that gives me the same emotion and enjoyment as when I was there myself. Congrats for the success. Thanks for showing.
