I went exploring last Saturday before dawn, staying high on the cliffs over Coyote Buttes North until I discovered this nice formation.
I got really close with my 17mm tilt-shift and took several bracketed exposures. Blended these together for the image shown.
Altogether lovely morning all to myself.

Thanks so much. I'm in a special situation as I live locally and volunteer time for the BLM. I didn't attend the last-chance lottery so I cannon comment on the availability of permits.

Thanks for all the feedback. I appreciate it. I also received some helpful feedback pointing out my halos around the rocks. I've gone back to PS and did some work on that and am posting a slightly improved version. The differences are subtle but if I ever printed this at 100% size, I know this would be a detail I'd want right. Thanks for the helpful direction Sunny!
