The Dhaka shipyards
Along the Buriganga river right across the port of old Dhaka you could find this huge shipyard. I loved that place! It was always buzzing with energy and people working all over the place. I use to go there several times a week to some point workers would recognize me.
It was for me, a photography heaven!
In this shipyard the workers where recycling and repurposing boats from all around the world. Ferry’s and commercial boats that were considered not good enough for Westerners can still be used for years in the rivers of Bangladesh.
I like the expression of the two workers and yes, they seemed to feel comfortable with your taking pictures of them - great images, including the last one.
Great images!!! The Indian people, and those of that area, seem to enjoy their pictures taken. Much character and stories in those faces!
