Can this be used combined with focus peaking enabled so that you can "follow" the in-focus area as you stack? That would be VERY handy.

Also, does this work with the A1 (if anyone has tried)?

Still not as good as a proper in-camera app, but seems like a useable work-around while we wait for Sony or a third party to finally automate it correctly.

Yes to both.

I don't use peaking so I'm not very astute with it, but I turned it on to red and high and I could see it moving as I held the + or - buttons down. Tested on the A1 with a Loxia and Sigma lens.
