I admit it, I'm sick and I can not stop trying to photograph that elusive perfect wave! I doubt I'll ever stop! 🌊 🤙🏼
Sony A7R2 (I'm not impressed with the A7R4, I am getting the Panasonic Lumix dc-s1r for many reasons!)

Tripod use as a monopod for stabilization while panning with the waves.
Mark, you never stop amazing lesser mortals like us. Panning with wave at f 32, using tripod as a monopod seems like a insane technique. It almost sounds like A folklore to me. Getting so much details in wave while panning is almost mythical. Makes me feel like I should join you on this workshop to understand how do you pull off such remarkable feats.
An astonishingly creative take on wavescapes. If you care about camera ergonomics you are going to be stunned about how much better the S1r is. A real joy to use.
The image itself is great but the processing is what makes it more than JAWS (just another wave shot). The luminance of the colors is something I have tried to figure out how to do reliably and it is a total hit and miss. I even have a question in the post-processing forum on how to achieve something like this. If anyone wants to take a shot at answering my question please feel free to do so :-) https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1633831
