There seems to be a variety of opinions concerning the exposure of these beautiful shots. Everything from overexposed to “dark”.
Neither extreme ever crossed my mind.
I suggest that if they look wrong to you it would be worth while to check your monitor. I recently purchased a new monitor and immediately had it professionally calibrated. It was amazing what an improvement the calibration made.
That said, I also recommend simply checking the CMYK values of critical elements such as skin tones and comparing them to known standards. That way you need not rely on your own vision with the plethora of pitfalls that entails.
All that said, congratulations to Parohodov for a well deserved win on Feature thread of the week.
#8: the Point of View is a little too high. Lower is better and the young lady has a nice pose. #9 and #10 are my favorites. Also maybe tone down some of the highlights on the people's foreheads.
I notice two kinds of floor finish. One is very rough and the other is fine finish. Is this the same house? Brrr I feel cold with th older flooring.
People's preference and what they like to see varies and it can be widely, too. And, without nitpicking, these are excellent and enjoyable images! Congrats!
