Eric, several of these show the vulnerability of these little ones particularly. I think I like the two black & whites best. Let's hope their demise can and will be averted.
One last time for 'this year' and I am sure you won't resist another visit my friend
These are emotion evoking images, tenderness, strength, hope and peace. Something about #10 grabs me and the last one. I really think they will miss you as much as you will miss them
Super stuff my friend, really brings out the best in you

beautifully done, Eric. It's a shame that these magnificent animals may not be around, if the same state of affairs continues. YGMV
Thank you, each and everyone who made such nice comments. I know we try not to suggest we've been lucky, rather we've been fortunate...yet, luck does play a roll and knowing how the numbers of polar bear families have dwindled over the past years I do feel quite lucky to have had the opportunity when others who went did not.
Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season and hope we can continue to enjoy nature's beauty and not take it for granted it will always be there for us.

From never having seen a bear in the wild to having the opportunity I had the past two winters was eye opening. I developed a new appreciation for something so many here knew for so long. Bears are one of those unique species that easily evokes emotion and as such makes them one of the best subjects for a wildlife photographer. There’s power, there’s action but there’s also tenderness and that shows us this is a very complicated creature. Thanks for all the nice words and happy holidays.
Eric
