Usually shooting birds against sky isn't my thing but when you witness a fun interaction it is worth firing away and seeing all the interesting poses back home at the computer. I stripped out a few files from this sequence but most of it is here....sorry if it gets boring with so many frames. All of this was at 20FPS and lasted just over a second....
A delight to view Geoff. Looks like there was some britty light sneaking under the clouds. Even when they have the most separation they both are sharp so you did not have a DOF challenge. How much are these cropped?

Voted!

Thanks Morris....yeah these are big crops and that probably is why the DOF covered both of them most of the time.
These ended up being ~ 4.25MPs out of the 24MPs I started with.
These are freakin' amazing Geoff!
The images remind of a battle scene from "Kill Bill." Bravo to you for keeping your $h!t together, I know I would have been paralyzed by the experience and action.
Terrific action sequence! Never seen such owl behavior let alone someone actually capturing the entire sequence. I agree that 20fps is sometimes essential.
