Nothing like the antics of these little buffleheads to put a smile on one's face....they have arrived en masse for the winter in the past few weeks and the males are constantly putting on a show with short little flights towards the females.
I can appreciate their beauty Geoff thanks to your images I usually get a glimpse at a distance or a parting butt shot as they blast away from me
Great exposures, gorgeous color, love the creative image of #2 and the beauty in the others, wings out flaps down coming in is sweet.
Giving you a vote buddy!

Gorgeous set Geoff with excellent exposures which are not easy on these birds. I've been seeing them for about two weeks here in NYC.
i can't seem to shoot these guys without blowing out the whites no matter what i try. ugh.
Thanks.
I expose for the whites and my file leaves almost no colours in the head but a little shadow lifting brings back the head colours and the whites stay protected. It is easy to blow whites but difficult to totally crush blacks.

A fine set, number two is just perfect Geoff!
This one would be my favorite duck if we had them here.
Thanks for sharing.
