Not so long ago....well I take that back Sunny...more years than I care to remember.......those style headphones seem obsolete now.....

my kids still like to use the over the head headphones when they're home...it helps them stay "ungrounded" since they can hear me call them

Just a charming expression, and not slick at all, it just feels homey, if that’s a word.... IMO, over the ear phones are terrific, especially the “open” ones.
