Nicely done, Sunny. I'm also curious as to whether this location has been reopened or if you shot it before the site was closed to the public. I shot this back in 2015, but would love to return if it's open again!
Hey Cass,
No, the place is still closed. This was taken Nov 30th, 2015.
Sir if have not and we are not talking monetary but the ego driven pay off that we as Photos need. Print it big and place in a view place in business, home and other area that you dwell.
If you are going to bitch about the cost of black ink to print go to your local Costco store!

Wow! Jack pot, Sunny!!
Splendid.
I remember this False Kiva very well. I stayed there all night alone shivering with cold, wind, and fatigue.
Then the next morning on the way out, I got lost and almost died from dehydration and fatigue.
Managed to get out of the place, I don't know how I did.
Gorgeous place..
I think there is a merit for black and white as presented here by Sunny!!
Voted.
I remember that story...i only got to spend an hour or 2 here as storm was moving in and it had just started to snow.

I keep coming back to your photo Sunny. I see something I missed with every view. You nailed the foreground in this composition! A textbook lesson in foreground technique! The expanse, scale, emotion is just mind boggling! That lone monument in the rear center just adds to the scale of the area! Again well done!
Dan
Dan,
You're too kind. What you put in words is what i try to do with my photos...evoke an emotional response, a connection with the place. Thank you for the ever so kind words.
Title reminds me of the gas station in El Chalten - with a magnificent unobstructed view of Fitz Roy. Probably the gas station with THE best view in the world.
