Fact: There is a patent for this lens that was along with the 400PF and 500PF.
Fact: Rumor was that this was the lens Nikon was going to announce
Fact: That rumor was wrong as instead Nikon did development announcement of 500PF
Everything else out there is pure speculation, wishful thinking or fairy tales
There has never been another ranked rumour from NR about the 600PF since we found out it was the 500PF, Nikon was going to make.
That doesn't mean that it won't come out but it is all speculation at this point. The rise of the Z-mount will likely leave this lens on the drawing board. It isn't in the 2 year Z lens roadmap and I doubt Nikon is going to be making many more F-mount lenses going forward after the 120-300.

Given how slowly they make a 89mm PF element, a 107mm element will be even harder. Even if they manage to release a 600 PF you can expect backlogs of several years. It took eight months to get my 500 PF seeing Australia was considered not worthy. I'd say 2-3 year wait for a 600 outside of USA at least.
I was surprised by the 500 PF, it seems to me like a 400 f/4 or 600 f/5.6 would have been more likely. I guess the 500 f/5.6 hit the sweet spot for marketing if not for customers.
Still hoping for the 400/4 PF, though. Or the 600/5.6.

Still hoping for the Canon 600 f/4 DO....a lightweight, 600/4 which most importantly is SHORT is my dream. If Nikon made it as a PF, I'd be even happier as I wouldn't have to buy a $7K 1DXIII to use it on
I really hope Nikon does a 600mm PF lens. A 600mm 5.6 PF would be a much better fit in my kit then a 500mm f5.6 pf. I would happily take a 400mm f4 PF, 600mm f5.6 PF or 600mm f4 PF.

Yess a 600/4 PF would be worth it. Size and weight of a 400/2.8. That i would buy,

Size of 400 f/2.8 yes, but surely much lighter, already regular 600 f/4 is only slightly heavier than 400 f/2.8. It would need to be under 2.5kg. Price would easily approach $18K US, so about $25K+ where I live. I'd find it hard to believe CAnon could make such a lens in more than tiny number per year, they don't have enough lens masters necessary for the DO as it is.
Window of a 600 f5.6 = 108mm minimum. To add to summary of publicly published data, Nikon's patent lists a 400, 500, 600 PF @22cm, 28 & 33cm long, respectively. But take note they released a 500 PF <24cm
So we could see a 600 f5.6E PF < 300mm close to ~112mm. It could weigh <2kg

Patents usually list the optical length, from focal plane up to and including the front element. As this is a DSLR lens you have to add the backfocus distance of the F mount to the physical length of the lens itself (as listed in e.g. specifications on a photo gear website), 237mm + 46.5mm = 283.5mm: the same 28cm described in the patent.
