So I've been hiking to high Sierra Nevada this year a couple of times to explore and photograph peaks I haven't shot before. This year the place had a lot of snow so I had an opportunity to shot the mountains with (still frozen) lakes even in June.
I also included a couple of shots here from Mt. Rainier NP in fall (I shot it this past weekend). I've got lucky and finally got a chance to see the mountain as it hides in clouds most of the time. Yes, I've attempted to shoot it before but, well, it was completely covered so I've got nothing. Even this year I spend 3 days at this location and only once I saw the peak at night, and early in the morning right before I took off back to the airport. The weather is so unpredictable there forecast on line was quite inaccurate, at least at this particular spot.
The image with the tree and moon was shot in Yosemite NP. I had no idea how much of this park had burned. Wow, the devastation is tremendous and it will take a couple of hundred of years before those trees grow back up, if not more.

These are really beautiful but the night shot of Rainer is absolutely stunning. Great job on these!

Thanks. If I waited longer ( or shoot this image at later time) I would have gotten the Milky Way above the mountain, which was still visible despite the half-moon hanging to the west illuminating the sky. But there's so many shots out there with Milky Way now, and because it was getting quite cold I decided to get what was there at the time of exposure.
