Just got this earlier in the week with the new sale price and i couldn't wait to try it. Took this picture of my son as we bathed him under bathroom lighting. First impressions are great so far. There was a lot of movement and I didn't realize I was still in af-s mode.
Great picture, your going to love this lens, a sleeper that's right up there with Otus and Milvus

It is fully compatible. This lens shipped from the beginning with firmware that already works with the z cameras and ftz adapter.
Thank you so much. After my query, I noted that DPreview guys have used the Z7 to take pictures and complement their lens review.
I wonder if I should swap my Zeiss 35/2 for the Tamron. I love the rendering of theZeiss, but the Tamron is faster, AF, and probably equally good.
Any comment will be appreciated. Thanx.
If you're willing to share, I am curious to know how you took this shot so up close. I imagine at least a 10-stop ND filter with a small aperture. Live view must have been preferred to prevent damage to your eyes through the optical viewfinder for both the brightness and UV radiation released from welding.
I pre-focus on the center of the arc light location, as soon as he starts welding I shoot away, only have a UV filter on the Tammy
That shot was cropped to keep my distance too, and the Tamron 35 is so sharp it's an easy lens to crop in later.

Nice shots. Though it's not a 35 of course, the Sigma 40 1.4 Art is superb. Just throwing that in here for anyone considering purchasing a lens in the 35/40mm range.

I've had both and can assure you the 35 Tammy is better then the Sig 40, that's picky on fine focus
