I saw a similar photo behind the reception desk of mountain lodge at Telluride. The peaks around the city were glowing red under the setting sun rays, which caught my eyes immediately. I wanted to experience it first hand. I ended up taking the gondola ride from the city to reach an adjacent peak and then this view unfolded in front of me. I have never seen a more vivid alpenglow ever
Just take the cable car from the village town square. It is closer than you think. May be 20 minutes to the top.
You can very well see the cable cars at the bottom middle part of the picture.
