I like to photograph people interacting with each other in unposed situations. In this case, it was a waitress and customer at a small country restaurant.
Thanks very much for your comments. It's actually not a b&w conversion. I shot with the Leica Monochrom which puts out some beautiful b&w images. It's probably my all time favorite camera.
Brent a great image!!!!!! Intimate, casual, a fine image technical wise. Brings me back to the days when you took time to enjoy the gossip of the day. Growing up in rural Iowa...this was a daily occurrence. Today it is a zoo..in/out gone!!

Thanks a lot, Dan. Here's another conversation shot that caught my eye because of the way the woman on the right seemed so completely uninterested in what the other woman was saying. This one is a conversion from a color image so it doesn't have the same tonal quality as the Monochrom.
And finally, one from my film days taken on campus. No doubt an intellectual discussion solving world size problems. It was taken in Bascom hall on the Univ of Wis campus.
