p.1 #7 · Sony A9 not shooting 10 FPS in Mechanical Shutter
I was using my Sony 200-600 and was trying different setting and noticed how slow it was.
I thought it would go 10FPS with my Canon adapted lens as well.
Another "gotcha" is if you shoot uncompressed RAW it only shoots 12FPS. If you shoot in Continuous it always drops to 12-bit.
Or bulb or noise reduction will cause 12 bit
About RAW images
RAW images recorded with this camera have a resolution of 14 bits per pixel. However, resolution is limited to 12 bits in the following shooting modes:
[Long Exposure NR]
[BULB]
[Cont. Shooting] when [RAW File Type] is set to [Compressed]

which canon lens? they don't all work the same.
i would expect the a9 to do around 10fps or even better, with the electronic shutter and the right adapter situation, but it's lens-dependent.
