I sold mine because I didn't want to deal with the frustrating AF performance of this lens, but I absolutely loved the rendering and bokeh of this lens. At this price it is hard to pass this up, so I picked it up again. Hope AF performance is a little better on A9 than my old A7III.
Those of you with Amex card, check your card offers. Amex has $25 off $250, which means you will be paying less than $250 for this lens including the taxes.
I used the Sigma 45i a bunch today on my new A7IV and eye AF was performing well. Night and day difference from my A7rII where it looked focused when I clicked the shutter but on review most shots would be back-focused. I didn’t notice any of that on the A7IV. Just early impressions, but I’m optimistic.

Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN at Adorama for $249.95 (sony e-mount)
Thank you for the pricing information. I've bought and sold this lens twice as I had too many primes/zooms in this range, but I know the wonderful rendering that this little lens offers, and, for this price and compact size, it serves as a great walkaround/travel/standard FL option. In addition, it really functions as two lenses with nice OOF and bokeh qualities at the open end, and excellent sharpness and landscape capabilities stopped down a bit. Plus, I never had any issues with AF on an a7RIII and an a1. Bottom line, I just ordered this a third time. Merry Christmas!

Im using it with A7II, its quite slow to focus and eye af doesnt lock often.
Not a deal breaker for candid shots at 2.8.
I wonder if upgrading from A7II to A7C would significantly improve AF performance with. sig 45 2.8
I have used it a decent amount on my A7C and have not noticed the problems that others are reporting. That said, it's 2.8 and I have not put it in any challenging situations, so take that with a grain of salt.
Having the 24 f2 and 65 f2 Sigma I lenses, this 45 fits in-between quite well. Know that its unique characteristics may not be for everyone and at the $249 price, it seems almost too good to be true.........But after thinking about it all day, I decided my next lens will be the Sigma 35 f2.
