Hello friends,

These are 2 shots taken from the same location just a span of minutes apart. I do like cow my compositions are closed king along although there is always room for improvement. Please let me know what works and what doesn't in these 2 photos instill have an idea for one more I want to take from this location. Once I've taken it I will come back and post it on here.

The second one *feels* like the horizon is low on the right side, but I did not download and check.

I like the second better. I would play with dodging some of the bright greens on the rocks facing the viewer to accentuate the lovely light - right now it feels like some of the greens have been lifted too much.

I did play around with greens a bit in post processing. I feel like they sometimes bring life to the picture but I will go back again and try out your suggestion. I did get to a point where the green turned a neon color and I knew I had to tone down it a bit. Thanks for the suggestion.

I think just the rocks in the middle need a little work. My brain can't make the light work there... but YMMV, of course, and its a lovely image regardless. Only commenting as you asked for feedback.

Ah okay I'm still pretty new to post processing and it's fun to learn and apply new things in the way. I'm using capture one and a few weeks ago to miss with individual color channels. I understand dodging and buying but haven't applied that to any of my photos as of yet. Sorry if I offered you in any way

Not a landscape person, I like #2 but for some reason on my MAC the rocks in front aren't sharp.

Thanks my friend! And it's not a problem with your Mac rather it's the rocks being out of focus due to where I chose to focus.

Interesting landscape and color, but they both look a little soft to me. And it's not good composition to have the horizon line in the middle of the frame. You should have 2/3 foreground and 1/3 sky ... or the other way round if the sky is your main focus of interest.

Where were these taken? Planet Hyperslideritis I presume. It all looks so realistic, if you do a lot of drugs, sort of way. Otherwise, I like it.

Thanks for the input I'll consider it next time I'm taking seascapes. At least with the second picture it was a little harder to follow that rule since the sky didn't have clouds and the foreground wasn't interesting in anyway with the addition of trash and broken beer bottles. But quick question with a wide angle would it look odd due to the way a wide angle distorts if it is perfectly leveled?

My friend I'm at a loss of words. Thanks for the unique comment and yes I pushed the saturation slider a little to hard. People love that saturation though it's the crack of the digital photography world
