Yesterday, I returned from a 65km walk in the park. It was mostly a glorious walk with my son, except for the mosquitoes.
After arriving, we discovered it was either sleep or hike or be eaten by the mosquitoes. So we hiked 3 hikes on the second day. Good for my 30 year old son. But a little tough on the approaching 60 old guy.
And after carrying my 5dsr, tripod, 24-105, TS17 - I liked the m5/15-45 pictures better. Hmmmm.

1 - Monarch Mountain on right, Sunshine Meadows on left far with Assiniboine over top (vague) 6am from pass
2 - Scarab Lake at 5:30AM after an hour hike up the cliff lacking my headlight :(
3 - Monarch a little earlier in the morning than 1st
4 - Egypt Lake - Look middle right water falls to see location of next shot
5 - Waterfall from Scarab to Eqypt - Just a little leap of faith after 1.5 hours up the cliff in dark
junglialoh: Glad you like the scenics. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
keepclicking: Glad you like the shots. The distance was long and one day my fit bit said I climbed a 250 story building. One of those 100 story buildings was before 5AM in the dark Thanks. Scott
Great images, and sounds like a good time with your son.
I miss my M6, lugging around a 6d2 now (sold the M6 to fund the 6d) - sort of sad about it. Picked up the full frame as the M6 was not giving me any star colour no matter what I did for astro imaging... M5 and 6 such capable little systems.
harland: I am not sure the maiming would be for risking my son's life or mine I kind of did the body slam crawl on the rock getting on to avoid slipping off the 300' cliff if it was slippery. It was back that made me nervous - but then I was committed. It does not look far but its about 5'. Glad you like the series. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
Sunny Sra: It was actually 5 hikes over about 24hours with modest spurts of sleeping in between and my km estimate came from my fitbit and it in retrospect looks exagerated (shame) because it assumes every step is the same length. But I believe the equivalent to 250 story building Glad you like the set. Much appreciated. Scott
bmike-vt: I am going to go look at the R. The 5dsr is just so big and heavy for hiking. I tried the a7r once and with adapters and lens mounts - it was not worth it. And A7's have grown in wait since a7r. The m5 is a great apsc. Glad you like the images. Much appreciated. Scott

Images are lovely. On the list of places to visit!
I couldn’t get on with the Sony. Might move to the R someday, but my favorite lens is the Sigma 70-200 and putting it on a lighter body won’t really make a difference. Been watching the canon refurbs for 5s and 6s for bike / hike.
Awesome set Scott. Some beautiful photographs of some areas I have not seen pictures of previously. Sharing the experience with your son makes it priceless. Great stuff !!
