Our little guy seems to be doing ok, it was seen at the feeder a few times today, although unfortunately it is also being harassed by another young male Anna's. I think it will make it!
There are tears in our house. My wife just went outside to unplug the little water fountain we have on the back patio area, only to find the little hummingbird floating on the surface of the water, drowned.

How very sad. At least your compassion and efforts gave the little one a fighting chance.
Colin, Moving story and great pics. You appear to have done all the right things, too. I also like what you said about outdoor cats, the #1 risk (more than window strikes or anything else) to wild birds. Keep up the good work.
