no, not technically but he definitely captured something in her

Isn't that the essence of photograhy? I think so, therefore, great pics.

These shots are amazing. You did perfect with the focus and she's beautiful

Second set is definitely better. Some thoughts:

(1) Nicely lit and posed, but it is rarely ideal to show the entire body except for the feet or hands. Either crop in or keep the entire body in the frame

(2) Background (in most cases) should not be brighter than the intended focal point (her face).

(3) My favorite of this second set. A bit more separation between her and the background would enhance this one, but may not have been an option with the lens you were using

(4) Decent pose and headshot, but not a fan of the "almost smile". Looks like it was shot too early or too late, in between expressions. Also, purse is a bit of a distraction, but minor. A quick brush thru the hair would have gone a long way in most of these images - her hair is unkempt, even for an outdoors shoot.

(5) I like what you were trying here. Again, seems like perhaps a kit lens in most of these that didn't allow narrower DOF. A faster lens would have been *very* nice in this one.

Wow! She is really a great model - and has several different "looks" - the last of the added pics shows a "siren" - "introspective" (tho the shadows are very disruptive), so try to reshoot that pose - no shadows, all shadows, and a single shadow

Others just above show "innocence" or "ingenue" while #1 of the added pics is something else entirely.

You should continue to work with her, explore different clothing (solid tops), sites, and other hobbies she has.

Finally, find her a boyfriend and teach him portrait photography. I think only a couple of people can do what a very close partner or relative can do with a subject (they have names like Avedon, Leibowitz, etc.)

also, more catchlights in her eyes - that is very photogenic eye coloring she has with the brown inside green - different clothing & background colors can be chosen to accentuate them

Thank you Chris!

You know, it was not even the external beauty that struck me (it wasn’t obvious on a first met). But the fact that Lea is a very kind and sympathetic person. I think she made the right choice by deciding to go for dog handling.

Thank you for detailed feedback, Greg!

On most photos I used Fuji X100T + teleconversion lens, that gives 50 mm f/2.0. But with the last photo I use just X100T, so there is only 35 mm f/2.0, and DOF is not shallow, as you noticed.

Nicely done photos and she's a lovely young lady who should continue to model.

Normally I wouldn't comment on individual features, but knowing that many people focus on what they perceive are their negatives, I'll just mention a few positives that I'd be considering if she came to me for photos.

She's got beautiful, clear and almost glowing alabaster skin, terrific, regular features (that's a very good characteristic for photos and a universal sign of beauty), absolutely beautiful, big bright eyes (can't tell whether blue, green or hazel but very good for photos), lovely flowing hair, and a very nice, shapely figure.

Photos are good too.
