Read through this and other threads, I got the picture. I have Q's on usability issues.
* How tight is the Loxia mount? Is it really bad enough to discourage mounting/unmonting?
* Based on my Canon DSLR experience, I think manual focus is OK or even desirable for 20mm or shorter but you kind of need/want AF for 24mm or longer. With SONY A7*/9 with manual focus AID features, do you feel differently?

I have has four Loxia's 21, 35, 50 & 85 and all I have left is the 85. They are not fun to mount or dismount or use the aperture ring. The color is great but the Nokton is a better lens in most peoples opinion.

Manual focusing on Sony's cameras and their focusing aids is far easier than anything you'll have experienced with a DSLR.
Yeah, I learned to hate MF on DSLRs for anything longer than 35mm and faster than f/2.8. On mirrorless it’s much more usable thanks to magnification and peaking.
Well just shot my daughters salon for her new website. All with the 21 and Profoto lights 2 B10 and 1 A1x. Just got these lights within the last 2 months. I absolutely love them. I should they cost enough.
@GMPhotography – your interior shoots are too flashy – the real estate guys say: the ambient do the heavy lift.
Normaly I would blend a view exposures together - the flash only for the shadows (brush in)
In generally I would not use a modifier for such a big room - bounce the lights with a reflector against the seeling (30cm)
For such a big room you will need a few layers
It’s not real estate for starters and who are they to determine that. The flash is only for shadows I have daylight pouring in.
Also I bounce any light up into the ceiling I actually showing my ceiling it would blow out the ceiling so your totally wrong there. Kind of know what I’m doing after 4 decades as a Pro shooter.
I did not ask for your critic either. Your not paying me to have any input
Need more photo please . Debating using this on a Z6 for travel vs my Sigma 20mm F1.4. The latter is too large and this has much better sunstars. I'm a sucker for good sunstars.
How is the micro-contrast compared to say the Zeiss 21mm F2.8? I used to own that lens and was always impressed by how it rendered.

Fred had a comparison thread somewhere.
Ya, I've seen the comparison vs the loxia. I just wanted to know how it did with the older zeiss ZF.2 21mm for F mount. (not the newer loxia). I wasn't very clear.
It does. Works better on my Z7 than the Z6, must be a bit of tolerance variance in the mount diameter, though in a sample of 2 I’m not sure the outlier...

..... actually it doesn't matter if I see any more photos. I already know I'm buying this lens. Just hope it adapts well to the z6

On the exif for the second shot Mathieu, is the metering having issues or why the -3.0 exposure comp.
Rookie question but would 1.4 make a huge difference for milky way shots against a 2.8 lens?
I'm trying to decide between the Loxia 21 and the Nokton. Image quality wise, I doubt I will see the difference at my level. However I like milky way pictures that are "crowded with stars", really the more the better for me! Would the 1.4 help me in this regard? (without tracker)
