p.5 #1 · Wandrd Prvke 21L or PeakDesign 20L or something else?

The Peak Design 20L is amazing. I bought it about 6 weeks ago, in part because of this thread. Like many others, I've owned and still own a lot of great bags and backpacks - LowePro, Think Tank, Domke, . . .

Short summary, the PD 20L (in black) has changed my photographic life. I carry it as my briefcase to a professional job every day, with a camera and all my other work stuff I need (including IPad Pro 12") stashed inside. I can fit two cameras with lenses attached as well as my work stuff. It also is great to use as a "sling" on one strap to slide around in front. . . . Amazing bag. Used it on vacation in Maui for a week for hiking and family stuff.

It's my "every day" bag.

Good to know this thread was of some help to someone. Thank you for posting. I definitely see this bag doing quadruple duty on a daily basis for business, photography, vacations and trail/hiking without looking like a mountain man on the daily commute to the city. ha ha. *No offense to mountain men and women, but you know what I mean.

Next up for me is the weather test.

I’m happy to report, two days in a row out in heavy rain and the PD 20L weather proofing is holding up very well. Not a drop inside the bag. No extra rain cover needed. So far so good!

I did take a few seconds to make sure all zippers where completely closed and both sides of the top material were folded under the top magnetic flap. I could see a potential of water getting inside the bag if the top flaps are not checked carefully to make sure both sides are folded inward under the flap.

Just a PSA that if anybody is interested in the Wandrd equipment, there’s a 15% Labor Day sale today

(usual disclaimer that I have absolutely no relation to the company other than being a happy customer).

Reviving this thread, have been in the backpack rabbithole for some days now and I need a way out of it Did any new contender join the backpack market? I am currently ready to pull the Prvke trigger, but I am still somewhat on the edge, I am not sure if something new will release soon (Shomoda Action X30?) or if I should just wait a bit. I don't have incoming trips, but would love to eventually take a decision on what to get

Hi, is anyone use codes when buying WANDRD Backback? I have the first version of the PRVKE. I found some of them at chocoupons.com at the coupons for the wandrd but not sure if it's even worth trying.

I have one Wandrd that I bought in January of 2021. I really love it. Solid, offering plenty of configuration and option.

The crry straps are very comfortable and despite being rather heavy when loaded, I don’t actually mind it.

I still really enjoy my PGY Tech OneGo Bag. It's a really high quality bag, with a lot of customization. It's similar to the PeakDesign backpack, but I think its much better layout to me since you can lay it down and open it all the way up instead of only side access. I also have a Peak Design 6L sling and it's nice too, but I still feel like the materials on the PGY bag are higher quality. It has some newer tech design choices for the straps and back mesh to keep it breathable. The shoulder straps are basically purple mattress material is the closest thing I would compare them to and the back is this 3D knit mesh material to allow breathing. I purchased mine from Amazon so I could return it if need be, but ended up really liking it.

I recently bought this bag:

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1714236-REG/tenba_637_756_axis_v2_24l_backpack.html?sts=pi&pim=Y

I already had the Prvke 31L v2 and this holds much more even though it's a 24L bag. The one thing I do not like about the Wandrd Prvke is that it's so shallow. I can stand most of my lenses up in the Tenba bag. I watched a lot of reviews and they were all great.

The Wandrd might hit the Buy/Sell board. Too many bags, but the Tenba is a keeper.

I want to like this bag but military tactical look is not my taste, I wish it came in forest green colour without camo pattern.

I have PD 30L which is also very shallow and sleek when viewed sideways and then I have Manfrotto Pro 30 Backpack which is too deep and looks stubby on my back. MF is more comfortable, practical but PD looks melt me every time,

I've had a Tenba bag for our lighting kit for years and the most important thing about Tenba bags is the the hook and loop material is very strong and the bags have incredible build quality. Our Think Tank bags hook and loop don't grab like they used to, but the overall build quality is good.
