Living near Moab, we travel there somewhat often - especially in the off season. While Delicate Arch is almost cliche to photograph, it's still an impressive natural structure and incredibly photogenic. Last year I took a few shots at a sunset that I thought were pretty impressive.

I went back there this year, 11 months later, and had yet another amazing stormy sunset with quite a different take on the same scene.

Moral of the story: even if you have a shot you're really happy with, it's worth it to revisit the scene - nature is always changing!

Note: the colors are not doctored (more than normal editing). The lighting really was that different.

Both are amazing but I really love the light on the arch in the first image.

You are so right about going back to the same location many times as Mother Nature always throws something different at you.
