I'm considering moving from Fuji to Sony. I've been very happy with how my Godox flashes work with Fuji and am hoping the experience would be the same with Sony. I have a couple of TT685s, an AD200 and AD600. They work great. However, when I was shooting briefly with Nikon I noticed that the Godox flashes would drop into HSS when using my D750 if I shot at the 1/200 flash sync. I had to go below 1/160 sec to get normal flash output (non-HSS). I think that is a known Nikon quirk with Godox and I've heard similar rumblings from some Canon users. No issue with Fuji and HSS also works well on the occasions I use it.
I may rent an A7III and pick up a Godox trigger for Sony I guess and try it but was wondering what others experiences have been. Any issues or quirks?
I use Godox on my A7RIII regularly with great success. I shot HSS at an event all day last week, not one issue. I have shot non HSS at 1/250 Shutter Speed and never had the issue you describe.
My preference is to shoot flash all manual, but have used TTL at times also with great results.
I have shot on camera, off camera with both the X-Pro S and a v860ii as master. No issues.
The only thing is that the Sony multi interface shoe mount can be a little finicky at times, but not a big issue.

I Have the exact same experience. I’m a big fan of the godox system over all.
I am using the Godox 860 II S x 2 for quick portable lighting, and I use the Godox AD400 Pro in studio and location shoots with the A7III and A7R3 frequently. They work mostly flawless as far as communication goes. TTL is hit or miss with the 860s but usually bang on with the AD400 Pros with modifiers

Been using Godox for almost 5-1/2 years at first with Nikon and Olympus, and now Sony. Use the X-Pro transmitter on all, as for me it is the best. Pretty much shoot manual. Now that I no longer have a studio, I don't use my AD360's much, but instead use my 2 AD 200's and a V860II-O as a hair/kicker light for location shooting. Works just fine with Sony, but I can only shoot at 1/250ss flash sync, where both my Nikon and Olympus have 1/320ss flash sync. I understand the sync on the D750 is lower as well. Like others here everything has worked reliably and without issue, really love the Godox system.
I run into this occasionally with the v860, tt600 and x1t trigger. I have read that the X-Pro trigger doesn’t have this issue though. Regardless, I love the system and plan to add more lights.

Only issue I have had has been an occasional misfire if I’m too close a strobe. Seems to be the only real way to make them fail to trigger.
I have A7iii with ad200, ad600bm and xpro-s trigger. They work great.
When I turn off HSS, shutter speed is limited to 1/250s which is exactly sync speed of A7iii and it works flawlessly.
Only issue I had was when EFCS was turned on and I was in HSS - I got stripes in light coming from flash at 1/8000s. With EFCS off, all is ok.
I get occasional misfire, but most of them are when flash is not recharged yet.
I don't use TTL (ad200) enough to comment much on it. It does something, but I use it in environments where distance to subject is changing a lot so I cannot verify it works consistently.
860II will not fire occasionally when mounted on camera in my experience (about 5% of shots sometimes), something not happening with Profoto A1x. If one can live that, they provide excellent value for the money.
I will get the new v1 soon, hope this misfire issue is reduced.
