Two views of Kylemore Abbey, Connemara, Ireland.
It was originally called Kylemore Castle and was built around 1863 as a residence for a wealthy English politician named Mitchell Henry. It took about 5 years to complete the castle.
Kylemore Abbey & Garden is the home of the Benedictine Order of Nuns in Ireland who have lived here since 1920.
One of the most notable features of the abbey is the magnificent neo-gothic church (which looks like a miniature cathedral!). The building of this church started in 1877 when Mitchell Henry decided to dedicate it as a memorial to his dead wife.
Have I mentioned how much I love the Sigma 85 1.4 DG DN? Would love to give the 105 1.4 a try someday. If they ever do a DG DN version of that lens I will definitely pick it up.
My first contribution to the thread after switching to L Mount. I am really starting to appreciate this system! Currently shooting with the Panasonic S1R, and toying with the idea of picking up my first Leica body to accompany it. The shots in this thread are great, and really make me want a 24-90
These owls were shot about an hour from my home in Boise with the Sigma 150-600 f5-6.3 DG DN OS, which I think is one of the best value lenses I have ever used. Despite the higher aperture, these were shot at dusk, handheld at 600mm.
