Here is a shot from the Dolomites from a couple weeks ago. My wife and I went for our anniversary to Barcelona and Italy, and I was able to take a few days to drag her along while I did some photography. Luckily it is off season and there were barely any other people here with me, but it was annoying to see some people being so lazy they are willing to drive all the way and park up on private property to avoid walking. I made this drive and little hike 4-5 times, 4 days in a row to get some light on the very last day.

I will be standing right where this image was shot in late August this year. I just hope I get conditions as great as you did.
Excellent image. Congratulations. Thanks for posting
I was lucky and it was slow time.. I can't imagine what it would be like during busy season. I was fortunate in the sense that since this was one of the only shots I wanted that was available due to weather, I was able to make the trip 4-5 times to get it. I wish that Tri Cime de Levardo and Alpe Di Siusi were available but it was either not accessable or partially covered in snow and ugly. I person would need 3 months at this place just to get the shots they need!
Good luck! (You should eat at Pitzock in San Pietro), amazing food!
Wow, love it! And you can see why so many fairy tales came from these lands, with the dark forests and cragged menacing looking mountains. Your shot has a Lord of the Rings feel to it!
