Sure... most of the catch lights in her eyes is the actual sky itself. She was laying on her back obviously, and the sun was going down on my left and I stood up a translucent reflector to block the direct sunlight from hitting the side of her face (held by my wife) and that softened all of that sunlight. I then stood over her and had her look at me when I took the photo. All that was above her face was blue sky and some clouds. That’s pretty much it...
thank you for the compliment.

Natural light with the 50mm f1.4 Sony wide open. I used eye-tracking on the A7rii and did minimal work in Capture One. Really impressed with how little detail was lost in this backlit scene.

I am glad to see that more folks have posted their images here and adding some topic discussion. Please, keep it up, ladies and gentlemen.

Since the hike down and hike up is quite a bit and it was windy, I just used a simple flash modifier and to my pleasant surprise, it did more than just a decent job at it. A reflector would have been great but you do need an assistant for that... . The idea here is get just enough fill without the flash effect is noticeable.

I think I’ve been over sharing because I enjoyed the session so I’ll stop after this one.
Someone earlier asked about setting and lighting. This is a two light setup, three if you count the large windows which you can see in one of my earlier posts. The key is an XPLOR400 Pro firing into a 51” white Glow EZ lock parabolic umbrella with a front diffusion panel. Very low power fill behind me and slightly left, but nearly on axis is another 400 through a double diffused silver Glow collapsible 34” beauty dish. Settings should be in exif
