... lying beside my desk relaxed but alert for any movement which might lead to play or food or indeed anything more interesting than lying beside my desk ... but still happy to be there.
Thanks for looking and C+C always welcomed of course.
What a sweetheart, krug. Thanks so much for posting Jesuit priest buddy of mine many decades ago told me: "If when I die, God doesn't have mountains; I want the other guy." I amended that to say: "If God doesn't have dogs, I want the other guy."
Thanks everybody for the likes and comments - as often the case it's the model not the photographer - last time I posted one of her she was voted 'featured' and was so proud she was a pain in the butt for a whole week.

You are so right Anthony - yes I have heard a version of the " I want to go where dogs go " indeed how could there be heaven without dogs ? I am 81 this year and bought my first German Shepherd almost 60 years ago and have never been without two (of carefully staggered ages) since - never had a bad one - couldn't be without one - more reliable and uncomplaining than any human friends - and never complain about forced modelling duties for the latest lens !!!

Me too Dan - I am not religious and my ex-work-colleagues would laugh themselves to death at the suggestion that I am soft and sentimental - but I have four of mine buried in a corner of my land, each with a tree growing over them, and I go and talk with them most days come rain, snow, ice or shine .... stupid maybe but they never hesitated to keep me company whatever the weather or circumstances and focussing for a few moments just on them clears the mind - sort of like prayer I guess - hope that doesn't offend anyone.
