One of the highlights of last year was being able to spend some time with red fox and their kits. The fox kits were so adorable and it was such a treat to watch them play.
Today I was looking at the images from my trip and the thought of sharing in Fred Miranda popped up. So I've prepared a few images. Hope you will like them.
Huge thanks to an esteemed member of this forum who graciously let me use his latest version of Nikon 400mm 2.8E and 500mm f/4E lenses in this trip. A lot of these images wont look the same without the use of those (top of the line) lens.

Really delightful series. Their expressions are priceless.
Any tips on how to get close enough/make the animals comfortable enough to photograph them? I think I know where a den is near me, and I'd like to try to photograph them, but my fieldcraft isn't strong and I suspect I'll just aggravate/scare them. What times of day are they most active? How do you approach them?
What a delightful and top notch set. Light, processing, and fox personality combine to yield a great deal of viewing enjoyment. Thank you Protik (and your fairy lens father).
Wow, these are amazing images! Every one is a winner. You seem to have been able to get very close and the encounter was long enough you had time to change lenses. Getting a photo opportunity like this with foxes is very special. Congratulations.
kdacharya - I was indeed blessed with few windows of great light. Thank you for your vote
RobAmy - Thank you so much for the support
girvincn - Thank you! I think they are pretty much active all day. But first and last 2 hours of the day are the best for light. As for approaching them, I guess they started ignoring me as i was lying down at the same spot for hour at a time.
