Now these two shots are nothing specially, actually, they are boring straight up and down.
BUT, I am rather impressed with the ISO qualities of the G9.
First shot is ISO 2000 and the second shot is ISO 10000. It keeps the colors well, sure there is noise and the details will get lost in noise reduction compared to ISO 200 but still, this would be a very usable shot in terms of pure quality.

Impressive! If you expose correctly (ETTR) you will always have less of a noise problem. This was shot was taken at ISO 3200 (okay, it's not ISO 10000) but I was still impressed by the absence of noise - at least in the bright background. BTW is that your cat?
This image shot with the Pen F / 12-100 Pro at ISO 12,800. Some minor noise reduction in Lightroom after conversion via Olympus OV3. Not all of my M43 shots at high ISO come out this good, but the newer 20mpx sensors (Olympus and presumably Panny) can deliver decent images at higher ISO than is often thought.
That's also impressive @Bobbytan and @gary0319 that at ISO 12800 is very good! Like you both say, the sensors can produce some very nice and usable shots even at higher ISO if exposed correct!
Bobby, yes that is my/our cat
The cat actually came with the girlfriend and she's three years old now (that cat that is ). I'm working on getting some good pictures of her, these were just trail and error for different reasons.

Here's one from St. Pierre (St. Pierre & Miquelon islands, near Newfoundland, Canada). This is from the dock, and shows buildings that were once used to dry fish, but now used for storage of fishing equipment. St. Pierre & Miquelon are actually part of France, although located in the region of Canada.

Pardon me! I thought it was because of your GF that you became a cat person! We both grew up with dogs, but as we now live in a condo/apartment, dogs are very high-maintenance compared to cats - leave some food/water and a couple of litter boxes and you are good to go! And our cats are self-cleaning cats.

Have you discovered self cleaning litter boxes yet? They're amazing.
