I captured this display of light over the mesas near Los Alamos in New Mexico. I shot a long exposure capture for the clouds. Thanks for taking a look.
I grew up in Los Alamos and graduated from High School there. I really miss the area and would love to get back to Northern New Mexico after I retire. Your picture is beautiful and you captured the light so well. Thanks for posting it.
Thanks everyone for the wonderful feedback. I enjoyed visiting New Mexico and would love to return. We hiked through Bandelier National Monument and had a great time despite the cold and rain.
I grew up in Los Alamos as well (go Hilltoppers!) and shot this scene many times (on Kodachrome) when I first got into photography. Northern NM is really special, and I wish I had spent more time outdoors when I was there. The view towards the Sangre de Cristos coming down the main hill road is wonderful in late afternoon light, especially with some snow on the mountains. Great job!
