These are really outstanding, the poses, the light and the sharpness are all fantastic, hard to pick a fav.

I was convinced that the owl would appreciate not contributing to the crowd size, but evidence points to the contrary. The celebrity owl felt so insulted that you didn't pay a visit - it finally left the area on Sunday utterly heartbroken.

BTW, your SEO series again proves the point that it is possible have great keeper rate of in-flight shots using a tripod bound lens. I do need to practice to improve my keeper rate with my 600.

As far as tripod based shooting, I wouldn't want to try getting swallows in flight (been there, done that, forget it!). That's one of the reasons that the 300mm PF and 500mm PF lenses are game changers. It will be fun working on swallows in flight this spring and summer with my new 500mm PF!
