p.1 #7 · Subtle Winter Sunrise, Black Sand Basin, Yellowstone
Thank you, everyone, for your kind comments.
#2 is also my favorite, but it's a close race. Black Sand Basin is close to Old Faithful and often overlooked, but, as with most of the thermal features and wildlife in the park, one can spend hours (days) watching and photographing. I'm fortunate to have enjoyed this cold and frosty morning.

While I do like #2 a lot, that last one ain't too shabby either. Well, all of them are pretty dang good, I just like that gentle side lighting on the trees in the last one. You may have been fortunate, but you certainly took great advantage of those conditions. Well seen and composed.

A bit surprised others also like #2 the most. As someone who used to go to YNP a lot, #2 is my favorite. The last is great, but #2 is classic Yellowstone.
It's also a great example of a really nice shot that isn't 'in-your-face'.
