Delicious! Love the dune images best, but cracked mud also makes for a good looking subject. Well done Dave.
Thanks for the comments. Yeah I prefer the dune images as well.

Excellent set.
Opening image is top notch.
And #4 repeating dunes. Mud is fun too.
Thanks for the input, Lighhawk, those two are also my favorites.

Gorgeous set! Really like the way you have processed the dune shots - great tones! Alas - I have also (yet?) not made it out as often as I was hoping this year. Gonna try again this w/e.....
Todd
Thanks for commenting, Todd. I thought about going this w/e as well but going to hold out a bit longer in hope for those elusive DV clouds.

Another post by Dave. Another vote for featured thread. Really though, I just love your processing and your eye for composition is amazing. What can I say, I'm a big fan. That 4th crack shot is fantastic and I liked that you used a less wide lens to bring in the background. Looks a lot better. I'm also a fan of that 1st one - just the right amount of contrast while still maintaining the almost monochromatic mood. Very good processing there.
Hi Jim, Thanks for your kind and thoughtful comments.

Another great set. IMO the 4th one is especially good.
Nice set Dave. The first shot is the best. Your third shot has too much yellow color in dunes IMO. The upper right corner has magenta cast in it. I think you wanted to emphasize the rainbow and cranked up the color saturation. Do this selectively. The forth one is great but I would clone out the dirty/black parts... But that's just me.
Wow, those two fill-the-frame-with-dunes shots really do it for me. Love the beautiful lines and textures, brought out by gorgeous light and skillful processing.
In-your-face shots of mud cracks never seem to do it for me, though, I guess. The closeness and strength of the leading line just seems to get disjoined from the horizon, due to the mid-ground being squished from the low angle. I'd almost rather have seen a detail shot of just the mud cracks, although I know that may be a cliche shot in some folks' eyes, on the other hand...
