Very nice. I like how you processed this image.

Yes it was a super starry night, thanks Jim! JimKied wrote:
Well, that is pretty cool! Amazing # of stars.
Beautiful composition and excellent color balance! I love the warm Aurora glow. My only suggestion/speculation is I notice some weird artifacts surrounding your stars. I am not sure if you are using a Sony camera but it looks distinctly like they are suffering from star eater. If not Sony, just ignore me!
If Sony, an unconventional workaround for this would actually be to exposure for longer. You will as a result not get as pinpoint sharp stars, but this will trick the reduction algorithm not to kick in as the the streakier stars cover more pixels on the sensor.
This was an a7r3 with a 20 second exposure. The effect you see is the "orton effect" processing in photoshop. I like how it makes the sky more subtle which is why I used it. If I was to remove it, all traces of the artifacts would be gone, but then it would just look like a plain sky. Thanks!

Ahh I gtochya. I stink on ice on executing that effect, I bet it looks great uncompressed!
