I managed to hit some nice spots during a trip through Utah, Arizona, Nevada and Southern California in early February - including a lottery win at the wave. Here are a few favorites. Any thoughts are welcome.
1) Wave Reflections - An incoming storm provided some soft light and texture in the sky.
2) North From the Wave - My attempt to frame the landscape looking back toward Utah with the swirls in the sandstone
3) Horseshoe Rainbow - Sunrise at Horseshoe Bend treated us to a full rainbow. I'm not going to complain
4) Valley of Fire Colors - Taken near the Fire Wave
5) Joshua Tree Milky Way - Two image blend. The light on the foreground came from the setting moon. The stars rose a little while later.

Great set of images. You nailed Joshua Tree.
Thank you very much - for whatever reason that's the one I was most worried about (since it is a blend)

Kyle, great set the wave reflection was definitely a lottery shot👍🏻
I was truly surprised to hit the lottery, I never get that kind of luck. Even better was finding some water and interesting skies!

Can you give meta data and/or any insight in how you shot the nighttime Joshua tree scene? Thanks!
Sorry about that, I meant to include the exif. It is there now. This is primarily two images shot with my Samyang 24mm f/1.4 and EOS R. I shot the scene at moonset, which gave the warm sidelight on the rock and tree, at 15s, f/2.8 and ISO 3200. I shot the sky about an hour later at 20s, f/2.8 (might have been f/2 - the lens is non electronic and doesn't report), and ISO 6400.The blend was pretty straightforward.
Some of why the SW is so amazingly beautiful! Thank you for the beautifully inspiring series here! I woke up this morning conjuring up a new adventure out there for April and this post was perfect for inspiration!

Fantastic set. That Horseshoe and the Joshua Tree should have had their own posts.
