You have high exceptions of yourself if those are "bottom of barrel" Very nice sets.
All the guides I was with if Africa referred to wild dog vs painted wolf. Here is an interesting picture
thanks Doc. The first 2 passes were relatively easy. It gets more difficult with each pass and hence scraping the bottom
The picture is amazing. thanks for sharing. These dogs are called painted wolfs and/or African hunting dogs as you rightly pointed out.
there is a recent episode on BBC Dynasties where they were referred to as painted wolves.

Number eight knocks my socks off!
I can't imagine seeing all those lions at one time looking through my camera WOW...
How many lions were in front of you taking this oh so special picture number 8? Love it - bravo...
Mrs. BB
thanks Mrs. BB. the total pride was approx 22, with 2 dominant males, 9 females and 11 sub adults/juvis and cubs
here is a shot of approx 13 of them, which our guide called a PILE of lions, not a pride.

Always nice to go through the vault and find some quality and yet unprocessed photos. These really make me feel like I was in Africa. There is great diversity. Very nice.

Henrik
thanks Henrik. the tough task is selecting which images to process since one tends to take so many pictures and it is very difficult to discard even the sub par one.
