It was thiiis big... This was a tough one, the sun had already gone behind the hill, putting the nest in the shade and the hill behind it illuminated. Finding the right balance so the background is not blown or there is no motion blur.. he only flew to the nest once in 3 hours, I wasn't going to get many chances up get this right. Dial in settings... focus... focus... focus on not falling off the rock... focus on nest....BABAM!!
That BG is amazing. Love the powerful feel of this shot, dramatic lighting. For me a little less lightening of the eye in the one in the nest for a more natural balance.
Overall................I really like it!
