A bridge is typically built for the purpose of providing safe passage over an obstacle, usually something that can be detrimental to cross otherwise.
After I passed through this covered bridge and turned around to look back at it, I couldn’t help but reflect on some personal thoughts…
As I looked through the bridge, I could see from whence I came to where I am now… I came from having a challenging 2018 where I had “suffered" 5 strokes, to standing on this side of the bridge in 2019 as being a “survivor" of 5 strokes! As I look at the journey that I had made from the other side to here… I can’t help but see only a single trail of foot prints, reminding me that I was not alone, as I believe the good Lord Jesus was carrying me over this “obstacle” and providing me with the safe passage that I needed.

I know, it's hard to believe... 5 strokes in one year! 2018 was the first year that I had birthday where I actually felt like I aged, lol. But you are absolutely right. The good Lord is definitely with me and I truly feel blessed that I have been able to survive these obstacles. Sadly, many are not nearly as fortunate as I have been and my heart goes out to them.
Excellent picture Don. I love photos that you can step right into, and this is one of them! I also like the use of B&W since it emphasizes the contrast of the scene.
