Nice shot of the Thames! I was there Sunday night but I was fortunate to be in a Pub eating dinner when the downpour occurred!
Thanks! That sounds a lot more sensible than us. We got trapped under one of the bridge towers for about 20 minutes until we also made a run for a pub. Here are a couple of shots of the downpour (also with the voigt):

Ordered the Voigtlander 110mm Apo Lanthar this afternoon. Should be here tomorrow.
Let's hope it' s a perfect copy (at least there seems to be less copy variation with this lens than with the Sony 90mm); fingers crossed :-)
There doesn't seem to be another copy of this lens in my country at the moment...I guess I bought the last one available :-)
I hope so. At the moment there' s a storm here...a lot of rain
It certainly is a solid lens (build quality seems great), and even heavier than my 16-35GM.
I' ve done some testing indoors. Camera set all manual. First impression is positive. Sometimes I hear a kind of clicking sound inside...ehm...camera? Lens? Don' t hear that with other lenses and I hear it every now and then, but could be normal. Maybe ibis.
Especially when the lens is fully extended (1:1), and if I move the camera up and down (lens point straight ahead and then down), it sometimes sounds like something is moving inside. I call it clicking, but it’s not a high pitched sound, just like something (a component?) moves back and forth inside camera (or lens, but not competely sure here). But only if I move the camera up/down. Not moving the set......then no sound at all.
I know IBIS can make a very soft swirling sound (although I personally never heard this), but this sounds different. I don’t find the sound disturbing.....except if it can damage camera or lens ofcourse.
Maybe it is the IBIS after all...don’t know
Tried it. Don' t hear anything inside the lens. So, it has to be inside the camera . IBIS, I think.
After a few days of experimenting with the A7RIV and the Voigtlander 110, I' m learning fast. Results are better every day. Love it! Rendering is gorgeous! Colour and nice soft background/bokeh. Ofcourse I cannot compare with my other macro experiences (I hardly have these), but I love the images I get with this combo.
After a 50mm Zuiko macro lens years ago, this is my first macro lens. I didn't t like the focal length of that 50mm Zuiko, so I didn' t use it much. I'm sure I will use this Voigtlander much more! 110mm sure makes a difference!
Ofcourse first trying 1:1 macro with its very shallow dof. I think every "macro-beginner" does this. A challenge, but results are getting better and better. A lot of practicing is necessary (and that' s fun also). Camera set Manual. Also tried a few 1:2 /1:3 etc. easier to shoot and with equally nice results.
So far only handheld. Will try it on tripod also ofcourse.
A whole new world opens up for me. With Covid19 around, there are less opportunities for shooting portraits. Same with travelling (did pretty much of that). But now there seem to be subjects everywhere and nearby.
Still have thousands of slides stacked in boxes....images that I shot when travelling. This Voigtlander can help me with digitalizing those (or at least many of them).
Very happy at the moment!

I don' t know how to post or insert an image here...anyone?
You don't have to join upload and sell. You can upload your photo to any online image service (like imgur) and just paste the direct link to the photo here. (htt.......image.jpg)
