Well, that's it. I've been the past several years rolling my eyes at people talking about electronic contacts for MF lenses, perfectly happy using my large set Contax G, Canon FD, Olympus OM, and CV M-mount lenses.
Today I received the CV110mm in the mail and I'm now questioning everything.

Okay, so just a general thought comparing this lens to my older CV 180mm f/4 APO-Lanthar...
Straight (110mm) vs. curved aperture blades (180mm)
Straight: awesome for sunstars.
Curved: awesome for beautiful out of focus rendering at close focusing/macro distances.
I can appreciate the straight ones, but when I stop down on a small subject and focus close, I kind of wish they were round like the 180mm f/4.
looking at these pics, i was thinking the same thing, the bokeh at certain distances is a bit weird, see the ghosting on your tree branch pic for example.
some of those dougo pics a couple of pages back do have that creamy bokeh, tho.
could this lens could be a complement to the cv180, or even the fe90, which is a phenomenal lens, including 15fps af-c capability on the a9, but it's a bit weak in the corners if focused at long landscape distances.
For reasons unknown to me, I think stars are a Voigtlander hallmark these days. I too would prefer rounded blades, but I suspect that is why you see the straight blades.
Bokeh aside, I love the CV FE lenses for the look/rendering they present. The nice electronic integration with the camera is icing on the cake.
You can actually hear them approaching, a steady thumping. Good to live near to these great animals, who like us endured months of smoke and extreme heat and drought, to be replaced by recent massive rainfall.
