Great images! Are you hiding or out in the open?
Thank you to everybody!
I'm quite visible, and she is quite calm. Sweetwater Wetlands is a nature area in Tucson, and quite popular with birders. Mom is a resident bobcat (I have photos of her from almost a year ago, I attached one to this thread) so sees people frequently and is quite used to people (she will walk within a couple of feet of you as she traverses her territory. As long as you aren't threatening, she just goes about her business. That said she is still wild and if you move quickly, or get too close when it isn't on her terms, she will disappear.
With the kittens, she has been much more visible on a regular basis, which has been an amazing experience for me and other photographers and bird watchers. I try to be respectful when I follow her on her hunts by keeping a distance where she isn't constantly looking back at me, but instead focusing on hunting. If I ever feel as though I'm interfering, I either back off or just walk away and let her do her thing. For me it has just been amazing to be able to capture so many different "intimate" moments, but hopefully there will be many more!
Momma bobcat from January 3, she has a mark on her nose to make ID easy.
